We will start adding value to eco-friendly corrugated cardboard by means of a new technology
We have been producing print materials under the name of Ecoprint for 15 years, nearly 30 years if you also include our previous companies. While we shifted our focus to producing cardboard packages last year, this year we will start making corrugated cardboard packages by means of a new technology for the first time ever. We aim at doubling the proportion of the income generated by cardboard and corrugated cardboard in sales revenue already in 2023.
We are going to increase our production volume to 5 million units a year. The introduction of new production equipment allows us to contribute to export and expand the market of eco-friendly corrugated cardboard and cardboard packages.
Our equipment allows to produce packages that meet all the varying needs of our clients. The designer will find the most efficient way to use the material for every product and the environmental impact of packages will be thereby reduced. The corrugated cardboard we are adding value to holds an FSC® certificate and 70% of it is recycled material.
Margo Tärn, the chairman of the management board, explains the new directions explored by the company: “The package is an integral part of a complete buying experience, this is why it is very important for producers of consumer goods to ensure that the package is well-designed and supports the message of environmental friendliness that is becoming increasingly more important for consumers. Explaining why the company chose to invest into the technology of processing corrugated cardboard, Margo Tärn adds: “Corrugated cardboard is strong, cost-efficient, recyclable and widely used. The demand for retail and wholesale packages made of corrugated cardboard is swiftly increasing worldwide owing to the triumph of e-commerce. Ecoprint considers that an opportunity to find several new markets and redouble export volumes already within the coming years.”
