To ensure a smooth and efficient development process, we recommend that clients prepare in advance.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article provides a brief overview of the new packaging creation process and shares helpful tips to simplify your development journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Development Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We assume that the client has an existing product when we begin our collaboration. If you have an initial packaging idea, that&#8217;s even better. The average packaging development time at Ecoprint is about 1-1.5 months. The duration of development depends on the product&#8217;s specifics, material selection, and end-user needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Initial Meeting<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>At our first meeting, we determine what product will be packaged and what the primary purpose of the packaging is. What is the shape, size, and weight of the product? In addition to a beautiful appearance, should the packaging also protect the product, be easy\/difficult to open, or be reusable? Should the packaging be eye-catching on the shelf or suitable for e-commerce? Do you need a large quantity of packaging or is it a niche product (small batch)? The described details influence the packaging design and construction, so it&#8217;s very important (if not mandatory) to discuss them at an early stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Initial Packaging Solution and Indicative Price<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After the meeting, it takes about 1-1.5 weeks to create an initial prototype and an indicative quote. The indication gives the client an overview of the expected cost of the packaging and helps plan the next steps of the project. When creating a quote, we also consider the material selection; all possible effects are excluded from the initial quote \u2013 these can be added to the main quote later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Refining the Packaging Prototype<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>We begin refining the initial prototype. We create a test version of the packaging to check the design and functionality before large-scale production. When creating a prototype, we primarily test the packaging&#8217;s performance and durability. During the refinement process, we consider the client&#8217;s feedback and adjust the prototype as needed. It is important to provide clear and specific feedback so that the engineer can make the necessary changes. Once the prototype is finalized and meets all expectations, we can create precise drawings and prepare a final quote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Packaging Drawings and Design<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the quote is approved, we proceed with packaging design. A design is created for the packaging that aligns with the client&#8217;s vision and brand identity. It is advisable to discuss branding elements and design ideas with the packaging engineer at the beginning of the development process. This helps create packaging that reflects the company&#8217;s visual identity. After design, large-scale (batch) production of the packaging can begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Good to know!<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Throughout the packaging development process, it is important for the client to share as much information as possible about their product and wishes. We take care of the structural solution and technical details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s worth noting that we approach each client individually.
